Twin Screw

It has a lower rotation speed, generates less heat from material shear, and decomposes less. That makes it suitable for forming PVC because of its thermal stability. The counter-rotating twin screws have a high conveying efficiency, a good venting and melting effect, and a stable head pressure.

It’s cheaper to extrude PVC powder directly by replacing the single screw with an counter-rotating twin screw than to pre-plasticize and pelletize it. Counter-rotating twin screws are mostly used to extrude PVC pipes, profiles, sheets, and pellets, and also large PE pipes.

Recently, HUACHEN Screw started using counter-rotating conical twin screw barrel for the extrusion of PE and PP corrugated pipes, which is more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

8. Alloy deepness: 2-4mm

9. Alloy surface hardness: HRC≥61

10. Abrasion and wear solution: plasma alloy coating spraying with nickel-based alloys on vulnerable screw parts with a thickness of 1 to 1.5 mm. Effectively provide 1.5 times longer service life.
